An entertainment professional and marketing expert, Clay Keith has served in numerous roles within public relations, film production, and the music industry. With a passion for promotion and art, Clay Keith continues to forge strong partnerships and professional success. We spoke with Clay Keith to discuss his previous experiences within the entertainment world.
Q. What have some of your most memorable experiences been over the past decade?
A. While I have had many, some of my most memorable work has been in film production. My first real film job was on the indie movie World Traveler, which stars Julianne Moore and Billy Crudup. This was back in 2001. I started out as an Office PA and then made the move to Set PA so I could work closer to the camera. It was a great experience to work with that team from New York. We shot in Alabama and Oregon, and I remember just being thrilled to be chosen to make the company move to the Oregon coast. Another memory has to be being named an Ambassador to the Festival de Cannes. The first year I was there was amazing. Moulin Rouge, Mullholland Drive, Shrek, and many others were in competition, and there was a huge party for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That was an amazing trip.
Q. Can you describe some of your professional or personal interests?
A. Certainly. I am an avid cook, and I love to seek out fresh and organic ingredients. I also love to travel and enjoy seeing live music at nearly any venue. Filming live concerts is truly one of my favorite activities. It certainly doesn?t feel like work.
Q. You say you enjoy traveling. What are some of the most memorable places you have visited?
A. My travels have taken me to North Africa, Central America, and numerous regions across Europe. Each experience has contributed to my outlook and overall life perspective, so every trip has been incredibly memorable for me.
Q. Do you retain involvement with any professional or nonprofit organizations?
A. Yes, I am a member of the Association of Independent Video & Filmmakers. I also support Hands Across the Sand and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
